Hello all!! This post is just to share some of my favorite things!!! I know what works for me, may not work for you... but I wanted to share anyhow!!

My favorite foundation: Maybelline Pure Makeup

Photobucket

I've always had a hard time with foundations... always. Infact, for several years, I quit wearing it all together. Once I got back into makeup, I decided to give it another go. I tried one, then another and finally stumbled upon this one night. On me, the coverage is great. It's not too matte and it doesn't really "shine" either. I have naturally oily skin, so all foundations "shine" on me after several hours. I guess it would help if I used a primer, but I don't. I love this foundation and have bought it several times now. CVS tends to have them BOGO a few times a month. It's generally around 5-6 bucks per tube. On a scale from 1-5... I'd give this one 5 out of 5!!

Eyeshadow(s): Heavenly Naturals
These are my favorite shadows right now, hands down. I wish I could have gotten better pictures to show just how beautiful these colors truly are. These are very soft, blend nicely and the color payoff is amazing. (I'm flipping out because I can't find my favorite one called Believe! EEK!! lol) I just can't say enough good things about these and I just ordered another 15 samples!! To order go here: Heavenly Naturals Also, check often to the beautiful and extremely talented QueenBMakeup as she often uses Heavenly Natural shadows in her looks!!! Under the below swatches, you will find a picture of one of QueenBMakeup's newest looks using several HN shadows.

These swatches are with NO base under:

Lipgloss: Bonne Bell Lip D'Votion in Fresh Melon
I know, I know. Bonne Bell? Really? It's cheap as hell, but it smells good, taste good and it feels nice. Again... just my opinion. I got this at the 99 Cent Only! store one day and well... I went back for more. My friend used mine one day and you guessed it... she went and got some as well!! Is it the greatest lip gloss ever? No. But I think for a buck... it's not too bad! Scale of 1-5? I'd give it a 3.

Eye Makeup Remover: Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover
I wouldn't have known about this stuff had it not been for my biffer Miss Mellie!! We were talking about makeup related things (big shocker) and I asked about eye makeup remover and she turned me on to this! This shit would take off tar I swear!! lol Shake it up, put it on your cotton pad, wipe all your makeup clean, rinse with warm water and dry. How much easier could it be? I love this stuff! Infact, I just bought my second bottle!!! Thanks biffer!!! <3

Over all face: Buf Puf Singles w/cleanser Normal-Oily Skin
I use these like clock work every other day. I LOVE them. Run a little water on them, roll between your fingers a few times for foam and scrub your face. It's quick and easy and my face always feels SO nice afterwords!!! On a scale of 1-5... they're a 5 in my book!

Moisturizer: Oil of Olay - Total Effects 7x
What can I say... I love this stuff. It's not the cheapest, but it's not the most expensive either. I like it because it's not too thick and not too thin... for me, it's a good balance of both. I like the way it makes my face feel and it's almost time to buy another bottle! haha Scale 1-5... I'd give it a 5.

Soap: Zest Natura - Limon Con Azucar
I love, love, loooove this soap! I got it at the 99 Cent Only! store! Each time I have gone back, I've gotten a new bar... so I don't run out! haha It smells SO good!! I generally use my regular body wash first and then use this bar or vice versa. It's an exfoliating bar, but not a harsh one. I like the way it feels and the way I smell after. I'm not sure where else you can find it, because I've never seen it in regular stores. They do have other scents besides the Limon Con Azucar. Scale 1-5... I'd say 4.

After Shower: Oil of Olay - Quenche Mousse Ultra Moisture
I'm really digging this right now. It has a VERY slight shimmer to it and it feels nice on my skin. I put it on straight after I've dried off. I generally use it just on my upper body, but sometimes I do the legs with it as well. Sometimes I pop lotion on, on top of it... sometimes I don't. There are several different ones out... take your pick, I'm sure they're all about the same. Scale from 1-5... I'd give this one a 4.

Body Spray: Bath and Body Works - Japanese Cherry Blossom
With this spray... I tend to layer. Meaning I start off with the body wash, then the lotion and last the body spray. It's a sweet musky smell that I really, really enjoy and generally get compliments on when I wear it. I got it in a gift set last Christmas and finally busted open the package a few months back. lol It's already almost gone and you can bet your sweet ass that I'll be getting myself a set this year if no one gets it for me! haha Scale of 1-5... I'd give the SET a 5! The body spray alone? I'd say a 4.

Annnnnnnnnnnnd last but not leaset... even though it has NOTHING to do with beauty... I LOVE my Neti-Pot (sinus wash)!! I got mine at Walgreens. If you don't know what it is... it's a little watering can looking thing that you put water and a saline packet (or a little warm water and salt) in, stick it in your nose and pour out the other nostril! lol It has improved my allergies and my sinus issues greatly! Here's what it looks like:

And here is a video showing how it's done. Gross? A little. Take some getting used to? Yes. Breathing with your mouth open so you don't swallow the saline water and all the ickies in your nose is a little difficult at first, but I got used to it on my first go. The results are totally worth it in the end if you have bad sinus issues like I do. I generally do this every night before I go to bed, but I've done it in the mornings upon waking up as well. Oh... and I don't do anything after the cleansing except blow my nose until all is clear. :)
